AQW 5405/22-27 – Health and Safety Audit of Damp at Parliamentary Buildings

Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Assembly Commission what health and safety audit has been conducted as a result of damp ingress at Parliament Buildings.

Assembly Commission: The Assembly Commission is aware of problems with damp ingress related to the roof project and all affected areas are being kept under constant review including formal inspections at least twice per month. Proposals have been submitted for further investigatory works to take place to locate the damp ingress problem(s) and enable repairs to be undertaken.

In respect of issues related to the roof project, the Assembly Commission has issued proceedings against two parties for negligence, breach of statutory duty and breach of contract.
