Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Education, following the publication of the Budget 2024-25, what measures he has taken to secure funding for the pay and grading review for Education Authority Support Staff. [Priority Written]
Minister of Education: The Budget allocations provided for 2024-25 do not include a specific allocation for the Education Authority Pay and Grading Review for non-teaching staff. However I, together with Executive colleagues, am committed to working collectively to find a resolution for these important workers.
The Executive has agreed to seek approval from the Treasury to reprofile some of the repurposed funds provided in the Executive restoration financial package for this purpose.
