Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail any action he is taking to support farmers who are affected by accumulative heavy rainfall, which is reportedly damaging crops and impacting the lambing season.
Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: Technical advice and support to farmers is provided by the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), through a range of different forums including press articles, online and face to face meetings and through the CAFRE website. Farmers and growers requiring advice on managing the impacts of difficult weather conditions should contact their local CAFRE Adviser.
