Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail (i) the number of individuals currently awaiting a medical driving test assessment; and (ii) the number of qualified assessors available to carry out these assessments.
Minister for Infrastructure: There are currently 1,041 drivers awaiting a medical driving assessment in Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Mobility Centre (NIMC) is an accredited centre of Driving Mobility and currently employs 4 part time assessors to conduct driving assessments following referral from DVA.
