Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 6966/22-27, to detail (i) DfI Roads’ (a) plans; and (b) schedule regarding The Mills, Coalisland; and (ii) the timeframe to appoint a contractor.
Minister for Infrastructure: DfI Roads hold a joint bond with NI Water for this site. In order to progress towards adoption of the Mills, my Private Streets team have contacted NI Water to request confirmation on the extent of the works necessary to bring the water infrastructure up to an adoptable standard. Once we have this information the Department can then commence enforcement action, using the bond to appoint a contractor and complete the outstanding works to allow adoption.
My officials will be happy to provide a timeframe for adoption following receipt of the necessary information from NI Water.
