Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the progress her Department has made on improving rural public transport links.
Minister for Infrastructure: My Department provides funding to Translink to provide public transport services and facilities.
Recognising that Translink services cannot reach every person, I also provide funding to community transport, delivering access to transport for those, including older people, who find it difficult to access mainstream public transport. The rural Dial-a-Lift service assists many people in rural areas to remain connected to their communities and get to the places they need to go locally.
