Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on progress to appoint an independent specialist electrical engineer to investigate the propriety of a number of contracts at NI Water.
Minister for Infrastructure: The issue you have raised is an operational matter for NI Water; however, I have sought the required information.
NI Water has advised that it has appointed an independent electrical engineer to provide a technical opinion on the quality of electrical repairs or installation work completed by contractors. This review work is currently underway and expected to be concluded by July 2025.
