AQW 28825/22-27 – Health and safety legislation

Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for the Economy to outline what measures her Department will be taking to update protections in health and safety legislation.

Minister for the Economy: The current health and safety legislation contains wide reaching protections.

However, environmental and other factors can create new and complex challenges that impact on all of society. The Minister has already made a commitment to working with Trade Unions and a range of relevant stakeholders to make improvements where possible and appropriate. This work will be progressed over the coming months.
