Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Education to detail what evaluation mechanism has been put in place to assess the effectiveness of moderation panels.
Minister of Education: The Education Authority (EA) has advised that:
A moderation process was introduced from March 2025 to ensure standardised management of Requests for Involvement (RfI) and referrals to Education Authority (EA) Behaviour and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Support Services.
The consistency and effectiveness of the moderation process will be continually assessed through sample audit by the Local IMPACT Team Specialist leads and Assistant Senior Education Officers.
