Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister what input has their Department had to date to the UK Government’s upcoming Immigration White Paper, specifically in relation to the mushroom sector.
First Minister and deputy First Minister: The deputy First Minister and Junior Minister Reilly attended an Inter-Ministerial Group meeting where the immigration white paper was discussed. They raised key local issues and highlighted local needs, including the impact on agrifood sector here.
Ministers also wrote to Home Office on 29 May 2025 to highlight the issue and specifically reflected the issues and potential local mitigations for the Mushroom sector.
