Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Education what funding he has secured to finance a pay and grading review for Education Authority support staff. [Priority Written]
Minister of Education: Following the agreement of the financial package from HM Treasury the Finance Minister allocated additional Resource DEL funding of £296.8m to the Department of Education.
This did not include any funding in respect of the Pay & Grading review for education sector support staff. However, the Finance Minister has advised that this issue can be revisited as part of the Budget 2024-25 process.
