Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Health for an update on the progress of a new mental health facility at the Antrim Area Hospital site.
Minister of Health: The new mental health facility at Antrim Area Hospital is currently in design stage. The new purpose-built Birch Hill Centre for Mental Health will be the single inpatient mental health facility for the Northern Health & Social Care Trust.
The Trust anticipates the new facility will be open for patients by winter 2027.
