SDLP Mid Ulster MLA Patsy McGlone has welcomed a commitment from Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon to support rural communities across the North by introducing a new £10m rural roads fund.
Patsy McGlone MLA said, “SDLP Minister Mallon has carefully crafted her capital budget to ensure that no one is left behind. The Infrastructure Minister has announced a £10m pot for rural roads, showing her commitment to rural communities across the North.
“We all know how our road conditions have deteriorated over three years without a government. It’s time we put that right and delivered for people in our communities.
“This is a welcome step and a clear signal to the rural community that the SDLP and our Minister are on your side.”
