Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: I am currently considering a possible funding package to alleviate the financial impacts of the pandemic on commercial fishermen licensed to fish on Lough Neagh. This could include those fishing for both eels and scale fish subject to meeting agreed eligibility criteria.
Once I am satisfied with the details of how the scheme can be administered, I will be in a position to make a further announcement.
