Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs what discussions he has had with Executive colleagues and others (i) before; and (ii) after his unilateral decision to halt work on the new permanent border control posts required by the Withdrawal Agreement.
Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: On 26 February 2021 former Minister Lyons instructed DAERA officials to halt works in relation to the permanent infrastructure facilities at the Northern Ireland Points of Entry.
I have previously confirmed that I will be bringing the matter to the Executive for consideration as soon as possible.
