Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to outline the plans to develop a specific contaminated land regulatory regime.
Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: I can advise that I have considered the recommendations from a risk assessment conducted by the NIEA of the financial, environmental and health risks associated with not having a specific Contaminated Land regulatory regime in Northern Ireland and my officials will be preparing a business case to assess the resources required to implement this regime to inform any decision.
