Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs when will he bring forward a Northern Ireland specific agriculture bill.
Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: Given the timelines involved, I am unable to introduce an Agricultural Bill during the lifetime of this Assembly, which runs to May 2022.
My priority is to introduce new policies and systems to ensure that we have a sustainable agricultural industry and that all farmers are supported on an equitable basis.
