Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 26570/17-22, what additional financial support will be provided to domiciliary care and care home staff employed in the public sector. [Priority Written]
Minister of Health: Domiciliary care workers directly employed by the HSC enjoy the benefits of the Agenda for Change contract. I have recently announced implementation of this year’s substantive pay award for all Agenda for Change staff, which will include domiciliary care and care home staff employed in the public sector. This will be a 3% consolidated pay increase on all AfC pay points, backdated to 1 April 2021.
