Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail (i) any assessment she has made of the benefits of providing a safe footpath connection along the Drumenny Road, Ballinderry, from Gort Road to Mullan Road; and (ii) whether she will consider prioritising this project as a rural active travel scheme.
Minister for Infrastructure: Regrettably, when assessed against competing priorities, this proposal did not score highly enough for inclusion in the 2025/26 works programme. The scheme will, however, be reviewed and reassessed during the development of the Rural Active Travel Delivery Plan.
I am also pleased to note that footway provision fronting the Derrychrin Primary School on the Drumenny Road was provided in 2024.
