AQW 43052/22-27 – Civil Service Pensions Scheme.

Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Finance to detail any discussions they have had with the British Government on the potential merits of compensating people who were unable to pay mortgages, credit card bills and other household bills, due to delays in payments from the Civil Service Pensions Scheme.

Minister of Finance: My Department only has direct responsibility for the Civil Service Pension Scheme (NI). The delays in payments from the Civil Service Pension Scheme are connected to the scheme in Britain. The Scheme Manager for this scheme is the Cabinet Office and the Scheme Administrator, Capita, is responsible for managing the Civil Service pension arrangements from 1 December 2025.

As such, my Department has had no discussions on this matter.
