Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Finance, pursuant to AQW 45461/22-27, to detail any discussions he has had regarding the continuation of funding for the Northern Ireland Place Names Project with (i) the Minister for Communities; (ii) other Executive colleagues; and (iii) the Northern Ireland Place Names Project, between taking office and 1 May 2026.
Minister of Finance: The Minister for Communities did not request any discussions with me on this matter.
I am pleased that my ministerial colleague in the Department for the Economy has agreed with QUB that the project will continue, with her department assuming responsibility for the budget from the start of the 2026/27 academic year. It was therefore unnecessary for me to enter into discussions with other Ministers.
