Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for the Economy, in light of increases in fuel costs, whether she has made any recent assessment of the benefits of using renewable sources to power all vehicles used by her Department and by any arm’s-length bodies.
Minister for the Economy: Options to move to low-emission or ultra-low-emission vehicles are considered as part of the vehicle replacement cycle. Where suitable vehicles are identified that meet the Department’s or arm’s length bodies operational needs, they are taken into consideration.
