Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any steps he is taking to support rural sports clubs.
Minister for Communities: This issue is an operational matter for Northern Ireland Housing Executive; they have advised me as follows:
“The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) has been undertaking a review of its processes for publishing public meeting minutes on its website. This review is intended to ensure that an appropriate balance is achieved between preserving the confidential nature of certain organisational discussions and maintaining transparency and public accountability.
While this work is well advanced, we acknowledge that the review has taken longer than anticipated and is still being finalised. As a result, the publication of meeting minutes on the NIHE website will be delayed until a robust and agreed process is in place that appropriately manages this balance.
We will provide a further update once the revised arrangements have been finalised.”
