Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Finance, in light of increases in fuel costs, whether he has made any recent assessment of the benefits of using renewable sources to power all vehicles used by his Department and by any arm’s-length bodies.
Minister of Finance: The Department’s Social Value Strategy commits the Department to using non-fossil fuel alternatives for all replacement DoF vehicles, where these are available. At present, there are no plans to replace vehicles before 31 March 2027, however if a replacement is required, a non-fossil fuel alternative will be sourced, if these are available.
