Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs whether any assessment has been made of the potential impact of recent changes to the Pet Travel Scheme on travel with pets between Northern Ireland and (i) Great Britain; and (ii) the EU.

Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: In line with the Windsor Framework (Implementation) Regulations 2024, the movement of pets to and from Northern Ireland, including the Pet Travel Scheme, is under the direction and control of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
