Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Health to detail any plans the Northern Health and Social Care Trust has for the Fairhill Health Centre in Magherafelt, following the closure of the GP service on the site.
Minister of Health: The facility was partially vacated in October 2024 when the GP practice that had previously occupied the facility closed.
The Northern Health and Social Care Trust are currently undertaking a minor update of the building for clinical use by Trust services. These services include Clinical Physiology Echo Service and the Regional Diabetic Eye Screening Service.
The Trust is reviewing the remaining space, with a view to maximising its use (subject to availability of funding) to accommodate additional services in the future as required.
