Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail (i) any assessment she has made of the recent appearance of paramilitary items on public property in the Dungannon area; and (ii) any steps she is taking to have them removed. [3 Day Priority]
Minister for Infrastructure: Officials are aware of media reports of flags in Dungannon close to Dungannon Park.
These flags have clearly been erected to intimidate local people and are grossly offensive to victims and survivors.
Flags should not be used to intimidate and mark out territory.
The Department continues to explore options for their removal.
