Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether her Department will undertake a detailed traffic speed survey on Ballynakelly Road, Coalisland; and (ii) to detail the criteria used to determine whether further traffic-calming measures are required (AQW 50694/22-27); to detail (i) any assessment her Department has carried out of traffic speeds on Ballynakilly Road, Coalisland, following the opening of the new bridge; and (ii) any road safety measures, including (a) traffic calming; (b) additional signage; (c) speed monitoring; or (d) other interventions, that are being considered on this road (AQW 50695/22-27).
Minister for Infrastructure: The Department has recently been made aware of concerns regarding inconsiderate driver behaviour, including speeding, and have referred these to the PSNI. The police have indicated that the site is being considered for the safety camera van.
Additionally, a traffic survey of the site will be completed in the Autum to help inform if further interventions are required.
