Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): The Minister for Communities to detail any steps his Department is taking to support grassroots cycling clubs.
Minister for Communities: Grassroots cycling clubs may be eligible for support through the Olympic Legacy Fund, which I launched last year and have further supported in 2026/27. I would encourage interested clubs to contact Sport NI directly or register to its social media channels for updates, as I understand applications to the investment programme will re-open in November.
In addition, Sport NI has also shared information on the organisation’s work to support the development and growth of cycling. As the response contains substantial detail, I have arranged for it to be made available in the Assembly Library.
