Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Education to detail any steps his Department is taking to embed learning about global development issues into the curriculum.
Minister of Education: Learning about global development issues such as sustainability, human rights, citizenship and environmental responsibility are already embedded within both the current Northern Ireland Curriculum and the proposed Curriculum 2028 framework.
Through the proposed Curriculum 2028 framework, pupils will continue to engage with issues of local, national and international significance through subjects such as Geography, History and Personal, Social, Civic and Careers (PSCC) education, in a structured and coherent way from Foundation stage and through all Key Stages.
