Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Communities for an update on when the 1 per cent pay increase agreed for Libraries NI workers will be implemented.

Minister for Communities: My officials submitted the final Libraries NI Pay Remit for 2016/17 to the Department of Finance (DoF) for its approval on 9 August 2016. Once this has been agreed and approved by DoF the 1% pay increase will be paid by Libraries NI as soon as possible thereafter. No further action can be taken until this approval has been received. My officials are, however, currently pressing DoF to progress this matter as an urgent priority.
