Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Finance what contingency is being made for financial support for sectors that will be substantially affected by restrictions in the run up to the Christmas and New Year periods. [Priority Written]
Minister of Finance: My Department’s Localised Restrictions Support Scheme will be extended to provide financial support to all additional businesses required to close or severely limit operations at their premises under revised Health Protection Regulations that take effect this week. Therefore, any business required to close or curtail their operations for a longer period of time will automatically receive an additional payment for the extra period of restrictions. Any businesses additionally affected by the new restrictions will be able to apply for support from Friday 27 November.
