Minister of Health: An FAQ on the special recognition payment, which is updated regularly, has been published on my Department’s website and is available at the following link; https://www.health-ni.gov.uk/news/hsc-staff-recognition-payment-faqs
As set out in the FAQ, my Department is working to commence payment of the award to HSC statutory sector employees in July. This has facilitated a period in which staff were able to consider if payment by instalments better suits their individual financial circumstances. Other employers, such as in the Independent Sector, may work to a different timescale. Discussions are ongoing with the Independent Sector around eligibility and payment.
