Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs what was the total allocation of funding for boundary regulatory inspection capability work relating to the Brexit Protocol, in the last twelve months.
Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: £13.0 million Capital and £3.0 million Resource was allocated to this work in 2020-21 and £7.0 million Resource has been allocated so far in 2021-22. DAERA officials are working closely with Department of Finance colleagues to confirm that appropriate budget cover is in place for the year ahead, with work progressing on the Full Business Case.
