AQW 2704/22-27 – Nursery places for children with Special Educational Needs

Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Education what provisions are currently in place in Mid Ulster for young children with special needs who require a nursery place.

Minister of Education: All schools are required to make provision for children and young people with a
range of special educational needs (SEN).

However, for those children whose Statement of SEN requires either a special school or specialist provision class in mainstream school, the following provisions are currently in place in Mid Ulster:

St Patrick’s PS, Annaghmore – Specialist Provision (Learning – SLD)

Kilronan School, Magherafelt

Sperrinview School, Dungannon
