Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail any discussions she has had with the Minister of Justice, regarding legislation to prevent the unauthorised recording and sharing of photos of road traffic collisions.
Minister for Infrastructure: On 26th January, Minister Long and I facilitated a roundtable discussion with Road Victim Support Northern Ireland – Donegal, to consider appropriate measures to prevent the unauthorised recording and sharing of photos of road traffic collisions. I am pleased to say that a proposed approach to address the issue focussing on education, awareness raising and legislative options has been identified; the legislative strand of which Minister Long has agreed to lead on.
