Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, regarding the February 2025 Deloitte report on its investigation of alleged contract fraud within NI Water, whether Deloitte investigated any instances of invoice slicing.
Minister for Infrastructure: The issue you have raised is an operational matter for NI Water; however, I have sought the required information.
NI Water has advised my Department that, as part of the Deloitte investigation into alleged contract fraud within NI Water, the awarding of works to contractors was fully examined to ensure that it was in accordance with the relevant procedures, based on the value of the works.
This did not identify any evidence of site remedial works being split or sliced to circumvent the required procedures for the award of C3 remedial repairs.
