Minister for the Economy: My Department provides a range of support to businesses to improve the energy efficiency of premises, primarily through the £40 million Energy and Resource Efficiency Programme, delivered by Invest NI.
This comprehensive scheme includes sustainability reports, industrial symbiosis resource matching, and both Resource Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Capital Grants, enabling businesses to adopt renewable energy solutions and boost efficiency.
Further support is offered through green economy initiatives such as the Industrial Decarbonisation project and the Shared Island Sustainability Capital Grant pilot, which fund innovative carbon reduction projects and are exploring expanded future support.
Collectively, these efforts aim to help businesses cut energy costs, increase competitiveness, and support the shift to a low-carbon economy.
