Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail when financial payments will be provided to fishermen on Lough Neagh whose livelihoods have been affected by the impact of the continued occurrence of blue-green algae. [Priority Written]
Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: I have engaged with the Lough Neagh Fishermen’s Co-operative Society to obtain information to contribute to the development of a Business Case for a financial assistance scheme. I will work to bring forward a scheme as soon as possible.
