Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the (i) legal firms held on retention by NI Water; (ii) retention fees paid to those firms; and (iii) reason each firm has been retained by NI Water, in each of the last five years.
Minister for Infrastructure: The issue you have raised is an operational matter for NI Water; however, I have sought the required information.
NI Water has advised that it currently retains 3 legal firms under contract, these being:-
CMS Camerson McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP;
A & L Goodbody Northern Ireland LLP; and
DAC Beachcroft LLP.
NI Water has advised that it does not pay retention fees to any of these firms.
The firms have been retained for the last 5 years under Contract C1046, which expires in March 2026.
