Mr Patsy McGlone (Mid Ulster): To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 33492/22-27 and AQW 44408/22-27, to detail when NI Water will make the full, completed report by Deloitte on its investigation into alleged fraud at NI Water publicly available, in the interests of openness and transparency.
Minister for Infrastructure: The issue you have raised is an operational matter for NI Water; however, I have sought the required information.
NI Water has advised that it is committed to transparency and considers that this is appropriately achieved through the disclosure of the investigation’s findings and the actions taken in response, while balancing its legal and governance obligations.
The report has been shared with relevant stakeholders. Any decision regarding wider publication of the report must take account of confidentiality obligations, data protection requirements, the rights of individuals and third parties, and commercially sensitive information contained within the report.
